LHH is assisting a top national law firm in its search for an experienced Intellectual Property Paralegal to join its growing IP practice in Scottsdale. This role supports a sophisticated intellectual property team handling patent, trademark, and copyright matters across domestic and international portfolios.
This paralegal will partner closely with attorneys and clients on day-to-day IP prosecution and maintenance work, contributing to the efficient management of complex IP assets and filings.
Responsibilities
Conduct preliminary patent, trademark, and copyright searches, as well as due diligence investigations
Support patent and trademark prosecution, including preparing and electronically filing documents with the USPTO and under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT)
Manage maintenance fee payments for issued U.S. patents and foreign patent applications
Assist with cost estimates for IP prosecution and maintenance
Perform legal research related to intellectual property matters
Collaborate with attorneys and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness across filings and deadlines
Utilize e-discovery tools and systems to support IP-related matters

Base salary range: $87,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experience

Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate required
At least 5 years of experience in intellectual property law, ideally within a law firm setting
Experience with USPTO and PCT filings
Familiarity with e-discovery software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
