A leading law firm is seeking a Patent Prosecution Paralegal to join their team, offering the flexibility to work out of their Houston, Austin, or Dallas offices. This is a bonus-eligible, full-time position for an experienced intellectual property professional.
Key Responsibilities
Patent Preparation & Filing: Prepare and file patent application documents, including Application Data Sheets (ADS), Information Disclosure Statements (IDS), Powers of Attorney (POA), and Assignments.
Prosecution Management: Handle US, PCT, and foreign filings.
Docketing & Compliance: Review and maintain a docket of deadlines, ensuring timely reporting of official communications to clients and foreign associates.
Communication: Correspond directly with foreign associates and clients regarding foreign prosecution matters.
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of intellectual property and patent prosecution experience within a law firm setting.
Skills: Strong understanding of USPTO procedural requirements and PCT/foreign filing procedures.
