As an IP Search & Analytics Manager, you will be at the forefront of scientific and patent intelligence, transforming complex data into strategic insights that support innovation, business development, and intellectual property protection. Working closely with patent attorneys, scientists, and global business teams, you will play a key role in enabling informed decisions that help bring groundbreaking medicines to patients worldwide.

About the Role

Key ResponsibilitiesConduct patent and scientific literature searches to support critical intellectual property and business decisions.Develop innovative search strategies using advanced research methodologies and specialized patent databases.Deliver actionable patent analytics supporting due diligence, litigation, and freedom-to-operate assessments.Partner with patent attorneys, scientists, and business teams to define objectives and deliver insights.Translate complex technical information into clear recommendations for diverse stakeholders.Maintain high-quality documentation, search records, and confidentiality standards across all projects.Strengthen organizational expertise by sharing best practices and monitoring industry developments.Essential Requirements(Prof.) Master degree (or PhD) in Biology or Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline.Experience in patent searching, intellectual property research, technical research, or patent analytics.Proficiency using patent and scientific literature databases and advanced search platforms.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills with exceptional attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively within a global environment.Knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related life sciences industries is a plusBenefits & Rewards At Novartis, we're committed to reimagining medicine together - and rewarding the people who make it happen. Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 93.800 - 174.200 CHFThe base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
