Job Title: Architectural Bim Manager Job Description The Bim Manager will lead architectural layout and BIM-driven design for large-scale facilities, focusing on Revit family creation, data extraction, scheduling, and process automation using Dynamo and related tools. This role combines technical design, digital innovation, and project coordination, including stakeholder management, vendor oversight, and pre-construction documentation for complex building programs exceeding 200,000 square feet. The Bim Manager will also contribute to research and development of Revit plug-ins, digital twins, and advanced data workflows to support a highly innovative, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities + Create, develop, and maintain Revit families to support standardized and scalable design solutions for large-scale buildings. + Build, configure, and manage Revit schedules, ensuring accurate data extraction, organization, and reporting for design and construction needs. + Use Dynamo and Python to automate Revit workflows, support data extraction and scheduling, and develop custom scripts to improve design efficiency. + Conduct research and development on Revit plug-ins and related tools, evaluating and implementing solutions that improve BIM processes and data quality. + Leverage ACC, BIM360, and related platforms to manage project models, documentation, and collaboration workflows. + Perform data extraction from Revit models using APIs, plug-ins, or other tools to support analytics, reporting, and integration with other systems. + Support architectural layout and floor plan design for large-scale buildings (200,000 square feet and above), including drafting, design, and detailed layout planning. + Coordinate engineering and architectural specifications for each building type, including internal composite coordination and site-specific requirements. + Gather, research, and compile all available site information, including site surveys, existing drawings, and field visits, to inform design and pre-construction decisions. + Coordinate initial architectural design submissions and permit packages, ensuring completeness and compliance with applicable standards and requirements. + Develop supporting documents for lease execution, including site plans, work letters, schedules, and phasing plans. + Create initial construction schedules and phasing sequences to support planning and execution of construction activities. + Prepare construction estimates for capital requests and other planning efforts, working closely with stakeholders to align scope, cost, and schedule. + Manage due diligence activities, including utility coordination and other pre-construction efforts, prior to construction hand-off. + Provide complete and accurate documentation for construction handoff, including contacts, drawings, permit status, lease language and exhibits, capital request breakdowns, and any landlord contributions or reimbursements. + Maintain a structured repository of all pre-construction work products by site to ensure traceability and future reference. + Manage and coordinate vendors and stakeholders, including organizing and leading design review meetings to align expectations and resolve design issues. + Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to design, BIM workflows, and project management processes. + Use Smartsheet and Excel to track schedules, tasks, and project status, providing clear reporting and communication to stakeholders. + Provide training and troubleshooting support for team members on Revit, Dynamo, BIM tools, and related workflows. + Contribute to digital twin initiatives, survey integration, and point cloud to BIM workflows, including the use of Recap and other point cloud tools. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a project management practice that emphasizes employee engagement, professional development, and strong partnership. Essential Skills + Proven experience with Revit family creation, including development, management, and standardization of families for complex building projects. + Hands-on experience with Revit schedules, including creation, customization, and data management for design and construction documentation. + Strong proficiency with Dynamo for Revit, including scripting and workflow automation. + Experience with Python coding, particularly in the context of BIM, Dynamo, or data automation. + Architecture background with experience in architectural design, drafting, and layout design for large-scale buildings. + Experience with architectural floor plan layout design, especially for facilities of 200,000 square feet or larger. + Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD for design, drafting, and layout work. + Experience with ACC and/or BIM360 for model management, collaboration, and document control. + Familiarity with Recap or similar tools for working with point clouds and integrating survey data into BIM workflows. + Experience with data extraction from Revit using APIs, plug-ins, or other integration methods. + Ability to develop and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a project management context. + Proficiency with Smartsheet and Excel for project tracking, scheduling, and reporting. + Experience managing vendors and stakeholders, including coordination and communication across multiple teams. + Experience providing training and troubleshooting support on design tools and BIM workflows. + Familiarity with BIM tools such as Navisworks for coordination and model review. + Experience with Bluebeam for document review, markup, and coordination. + Ability to coordinate engineering and architectural specifications and manage pre-construction documentation. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain comprehensive repositories of project and pre-construction documentation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with digital twins and related platforms such as Autodesk Tandem. + Experience with survey workflows and integrating survey data into design and BIM processes. + Experience with point cloud to BIM workflows using tools such as Recap. + Familiarity with SQL for data querying and integration with BIM or project data sources. + Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, in addition to Excel. + Experience with R&D on plug-ins and extensions for Revit or other Autodesk tools. + Exposure to large-scale, technology-focused organizations and highly innovative project environments. + Experience with drafting, design, and floor plan layout in complex, multi-discipline building projects. + Comfort working in a project management practice that emphasizes employee engagement, professional development, and strong partnership. Work Environment This role is based onsite five days a week at a modern office building in Bellevue, Washington, with the primary workspace located on a dedicated floor for operations and design. For highly qualified candidates, there may be flexibility for hybrid or remote work arrangements, depending on business needs.
