- Weather Tough: Heat, cold, wind--if the job's moving, you're working.
What You'll Do as an Ironworker
As an Ironworker at S&R, your work directly drives the progress of every project.
Here's what success looks like in this role:
- Keep Projects Moving: Install and erect structural steel to keep projects on schedule.
- Execute Precision Work: Ensure steel connections, alignment, and installation meet quality standards.
- Read and Follow Plans: Interpret blueprints and layout instructions accurately.
- Maintain Jobsite Standards: Protect materials, maintain tools, and help keep the jobsite organized.
- Protect the Crew: Follow safety protocols and speak up when something isn't right.
Pay & Benefits
We believe hard work deserves strong compensation and opportunities to maximize your earnings.
Here's how we support our ironworkers:
- Competitive Pay: $28 - $36 per hour based on experience. 50-60 hours per week.
- Per Diem Available: $600 - $700 per week for workers traveling outside the project area.
- Overtime Opportunities: Additional hours available to boost your income.
- Consistent Work: Ongoing steel erection projects in the Columbia / Annapolis Junction area.
- Over Time Available: 50 - 60 hours of work per week, so plenty of OT.
Qualifications
Before joining our team, you should have:
- 3+ Years Ironworker Experience in steel erection.
- Steel Erection Skills: rigging, connecting, plumbing, and bolting.
- Ability to Read Plans and follow construction layouts.
- Personal Ironworker Tools.
- U.S. Citizenship or Naturalized Citizenship.
