Company Truck | Per Diem | Travel Opportunities East & Westbrook Construction is seeking an experienced Ironworker Foreman to lead structural steel and miscellaneous metals installation crews on projects. This job will report into a fabrication shop located outside Louisville, Kentucky and will require travel, primarily in the Kentucky area. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced ironworker who can lead by example, prioritize safety, maintain production schedules, and deliver quality work in the field. Responsibilities and qualifications are based on the company's Ironworker Foreman job description. What You'll Do - Lead and supervise field crews performing structural steel and miscellaneous metals installation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications.
- Perform and verify field layout.
- Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Oversee rigging, crane operations, steel erection, and installation activities.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
- Complete daily reports, safety documentation, and equipment inspections.
- Communicate with project management regarding schedules, labor needs, and project progress.
Qualifications - 5+ years of ironworker or structural steel erection experience.
- Crew leadership experience.
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills.
- Knowledge of rigging and crane operations.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
- OSHA training, welding certifications, and equipment operation experience are a plus.
Travel Requirements - Projects are located in primarily in the Kentucky- area but can be nationwide.
- Travel and overnight stays are a regular part of this position.
- Candidates may reside anywhere but must be willing to travel where the work is.
- Company truck and per diem provided for qualifying assignments. Compensation strategy documents reference truck and travel incentives for foremen.
