Ironworker Foreman

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ironworker Foreman to lead field crews on structural steel erection projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on ironwork experience and the ability to safely and efficiently manage crews in the field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead ironworker crews on structural steel projects
• Coordinate daily field activities and manpower
• Read and interpret structural drawings and erection plans
• Direct rigging, connecting, bolting, and steel erection operations
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, general contractors, and other trades
• Monitor jobsite progress and communicate updates to management
• Maintain quality and ensure proper installation of structural steel
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements
• Train and mentor crew members as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of ironwork or structural steel erection experience
• Previous Foreman or Lead experience preferred
• Strong understanding of structural steel erection, rigging, connecting, and bolting
• Ability to read structural drawings and erection plans
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• OSHA safety knowledge
• Willingness to work on active construction sites and travel as required
