Ironworker/Welder

-Install or fabricate metal pieces into columns, girders, or other structural frameworks
-Perform rigging, pipe support anchoring, and miscellaneous metals installation
-Read and understand blueprints and project layout
-Measure and cut metal parts to exact specifications
-Repair or replace existing steel parts of buildings and other structures

-Experience working as a Welder and/or Ironworker in industrial environment
-Hold or obtain AWS D1.1 certification
-Ability to read and interpret instructions and document, plan and perform work activities independently
-Knowledge of how to handle metal properly
-OSHA 10 certification is required or ability to obtain certification
-Ability to travel to local construction sites in Maryland, with occasional out of town travel to VA/DE/PA/NJ region
