What You'll Be Responsible For as an Ironworker at High Plains

This is more than installing steel. This is building with precision and purpose.

You will:

  • Install beams, columns, decking, stairs, and railings to exact specifications.
  • Read and execute blueprints and structural drawings with accuracy.
  • Perform welding, cutting, and bolting to meet industry standards.
  • Work with cranes, rigging, and lifts to safely position materials.
  • Maintain full OSHA compliance and proper PPE use at all times.
  • Inspect your work to ensure zero rework and top-quality results.
  • Support and mentor apprentices on the job site.

What You Need to Bring to the Table

  • 3-5 years of structural or miscellaneous steel experience.
  • Strong blueprint and layout reading skills.
  • Experience with rigging, cranes, welding, and bolting.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and fall protection.
  • Physical ability to lift, climb, and work at heights.
  • Reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends when needed.
  • Welding certifications (AWS or similar) preferred.
  • Journeyman Ironworker certification.
