Job: MIPM-Irrigation Project Manager - Construction (Irrigation)

As an Irrigation Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing irrigation projects from pre‑construction through completion. This role ensures irrigation installations and system improvements are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality and regulatory standards. Working closely with construction teams, vendors, and clients, the Irrigation Project Manager plays a key role in delivering efficient, water‑conscious irrigation solutions that support successful landscape projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage irrigation projects from kickoff through closeout, including scheduling, budgeting, and execution
  • Review irrigation plans, designs, and specifications to ensure accuracy and constructability
  • Develop project schedules and coordinate irrigation labor, materials, and equipment
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for irrigation‑related project issues with clients, internal teams, and vendors
  • Oversee installation quality, conduct site inspections, and ensure work aligns with project plans and company standards
  • Manage project costs, track change orders, and support accurate billing and documentation
  • Coordinate system testing, startups, punch lists, and project closeout documentation
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, water regulations, and safety requirements
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and updates to stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to irrigation project delivery and efficiency
  • Oversee all project activity planning, sequencing, and scheduling
  • Plan and develop project schedules
  • Evaluate time and cost estimating for all projects
  • Manage quality control to ensure our projects are up to Down to Earth standards
  • Manage relationships with vendors
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external clients
  • Conducting regular project site visits to ensure we are meeting project timeline deliverables
  • Ensuring that the project is within budget
  • Identifying and resolving customer concerns with a high sense of urgency
  • Driving the Down to Earth safety culture
  • Hiring, retaining and developing top talent.
  • Supervising the operations staff that supports the project site
  • Performing other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, landscaping, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in irrigation installation or landscape construction, including project oversight
  • Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, components, and installation practices
  • Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans, blueprints, and specifications
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets, and subcontractors or field crews
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with basic project management and reporting tools
  • Ability to travel between job sites and work outdoors as needed
  • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid Florida Driver's License and the ability to pass an MVR check
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience managing irrigation projects within a commercial landscaping or construction company
  • Familiarity with smart controllers, drip irrigation, water‑efficient systems, and system optimization
  • Knowledge of local permitting processes and water authority requirements
  • Experience with project management software and digital documentation tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline‑driven environment
  • Strong collaboration skills with construction, production, and client teams
  • Certifications related to irrigation or landscape construction (e.g., CID, CIC) preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
