Irrigation Systems Field Technician (Center Pivot & Pump Controls)

A day in the life

Start your morning at our client's Beloit facility, load up the truck, and head out to farms where center pivot systems keep crops thriving. You’ll move between preventative maintenance, wiring and testing new or used equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and collaborating directly with growers. Your craftsmanship helps present NCI as the employer of choice in the irrigation market.

This is a direct hire role, working out of the company's Beloit location.

What you'll do

• Wire and test new and used irrigation equipment.
• Help build and repair center pivot irrigation systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Repair standard and VFD pump panels.
• Communicate positively with customers to create a valued partnership.
• Perform physical tasks such as climbing, carrying tools, and operating a mini excavator.
• Leverage knowledge of pivot control panel function and system telemetry.
• Work independently on assigned projects (ability to work alone preferred).
• Attend meetings, sales events, and training to learn new technology and equipment as it becomes available.

What you bring

• High School diploma or GED required; trade certificate programs preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record to operate company vehicles.
• Background in the agriculture industry and irrigation systems preferred.
• Several years of prior work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of 480-volt three-phase electricity, use of a multimeter, and basic hand tools.
• Comfort with laptops, including the Microsoft Office suite.

Schedule and pay

Full-time day shift role, generally 7am – 5pm, Monday through Friday, depending on job sites.

Pay: $25 – $35 per hour, depending on experience.
