POSITION: Irrigation Technician / Landscaping Laborer DUTIES: * Install, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial irrigation systems, including drip lines, rotors, valves, controllers, and piping * Program and adjust irrigation controllers and smart systems to optimize efficiency and comply with local water use regulations * Diagnose and resolve irrigation issues such as leaks, clogs, electrical malfunctions, pressure problems, and damaged components * Perform seasonal irrigation system services including spring start-ups, mid-season checks, and fall winterizations * Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and system schematics to install or modify irrigation systems accurately * Operate specialized equipment such as trenchers, vibratory plows, and valve locators * Ensure proper coverage and function of all zones through routine audits and water usage assessments * Maintain detailed records of repairs, installations, parts used, and service dates * Communicate effectively with crew leads, project managers, and clients regarding system performance and recommendations * Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations during field work * Assist with planting, mulching, sod installation, and general grounds maintenance as needed * Perform site clean-up and ensure work areas are safe and free of debris * Operate landscape maintenance equipment such as string trimmers, blowers, and mowers when irrigation work is not required REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum of 2 years commercial irrigation experience * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics * Experience operating irrigation and landscape equipment OTHER REQUIREMENTS: * Pre-employment drug testing required * Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions * Strong communication and problem-solving skills * Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects PREFERRED SKILLS: * Familiarity with smart irrigation systems * Basic electrical troubleshooting skills * Experience with trenchers and valve locators WAGE: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour SHIFTS: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM JOB SITE: Southern Colorado (some out-of-town work required) BENEFITS: No benefits, seasonal APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: If you meet the minimum requirements for this position, please click on How to Apply' to view application information.
