Summary:
The Irrigation Technician is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to manage the
timely completion of commercial irrigation service contracts and additional R&M. This includes startups,
shutdowns and the ability to diagnose and correct irrigation problems through service calls and other
customer communications. During the winter months, carries out duties as a winter site manager pending
previous work experience.

Job Duties:
Load/unload of trucks and trailers in the AM and PM and ensure both are DOT compliant
Operate truck, trailer and equipment safely as well as maintain all through cleanliness, safety
and general maintenance
Maintain a two week out, working schedule based on priorities with Enhancement Manager
as well as Account Managers and communicate plan regularly
Perform irrigation startups and inspections
o Make immediate required fixes for leaks or issues that hinder an inspection
o Depending on prior communication with client by Account Manager - makes fixes and
repairs necessary or provide a budget to be approved by client
o Make necessary repairs such as breaks in the line, bad heads, nozzles, filters, valves,
wiring, etc. as well as adjustments such as adjusting irrigation head patterns, and
frequencies on timer clock/controller.
o Report on all work including hours spent, materials used and recommend any additional
upsells to Account Manager
Perform irrigation system monitoring throughout growing season and identify any fixes
needed. Complete repairs or submit budget to be approved to Account Manager
Install new systems per spec or SOW
Adjust schedule to tend to service calls throughout summer - complete repairs and
communicate such to Account Manager
Recommend and point out upsell opportunities to managers
Shut irrigation systems down with proper winterization procedures
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and always follow company safety
procedures and policies
Submit timesheets in a timely manner and ensure accuracy of material reporting
Other duties as directed
Requirements:
Possesses and obtain proper certifications within given time frame and stay up to date on
industry standards
1-3 years experience as a tech or similar experience in the field
Mathematical skills to calculate pressures, spray widths, flow rates, etc
Valid driver's license
Ability to obtain and retain D.O.T Medical card
Ability to lift 50lbs regularly
Knowledge of plant material preferred

Often lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift. Shifts can include
walking, standing and crouching for long periods of time - excellent stamina required
