Irrigation Technician

Position Summary:

We are seeking an IrrigationTechnician to work at Circle T Ranch which is in Roanoke, TX.  The Circle T Ranch is home to an event center surrounded by high-end ornamentals, flowers, turfgrass, and trees.  There is also a par 3 golf course and irrigated pasture trees.  All of these irrigated areas would be the responsibility of the Irrigation Technician to keep the system repaired and operating properly.  The ideal candidate will implement their knowledge and skills with a proactive, hands-on approach, and resolve issues as they arise. 

Responsibilities:

• Management and control of irrigation system
• Perform bi-monthly irrigation audits
• Set irrigation schedules
• Make all necessary repairs; engage appropriate vendor(s) to help with repairs for major leaks or issues
• Regularly test system for performance issues
• Manage system expansions and additions

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Possess a proactive, can-do attitude
• Must be capable of working outdoors in various weather extremes in summer and winter

 Education and Experience:

 High School Diploma or equivalent

• Current Irrigation Technician License
• Minimum 3+ years of irrigation experience
• Knowledge of large-scale irrigation systems operations

 Work Hours:

 The hours will fluctuate depending on the season. Typical hours will average 40 hours/week October-March and 50 hours/week April-September.
