ISO 9001 & BA9000 Lead Internal Auditor, Document Controller & QMS Specialist13386 International Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL 32218, USAJob DescriptionTOGETHER, WE SAVE LIVESSummaryWe are seeking an experienced ISO 9001 & BA9000 Lead Internal Auditor, Document Controller & Quality Management System (QMS) Specialist to support and strengthen our Quality Management System across multiple manufacturing sites.This role serves as a key quality systems subject matter expert leading internal audit, ensuring disciplined document and change control, supporting external and certification audits, and driving consistency and best practice sharing across sites. The position plays a critical role in audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.What You'll DoLead the internal audit program across multiple sites, including planning, scheduling, execution, and reportingConduct ISO 9001 and BA9000 internal audits and support external, certification, and customer auditsIssue clear audit reports, identify nonconformances and opportunities for improvement, and track corrective action follow upOwn and maintain the QMS document control system across all supported sitesManage document change requests (new, revised, obsolete), including approval routing and publication of controlled documentsEnsure consistent document standards, version control, and access to current, approved documentsSupport training and communication related to document changes and system updatesMaintain QMS effectiveness and ISO/BA9000 compliance across the site networkMonitor changes to standards and regulatory requirements and communicate impacts to stakeholdersProvide QMS and ISO expertise to site Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Leadership teamsAnalyze audit results and system data to identify trends and drive system level improvementsPromote standardization and best practice sharing across sites to strengthen QMS maturityAll other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)3–5+ years of experience in quality auditing, quality systems, or QMS supportStrong working knowledge of ISO 9001; experience with BA9000 strongly preferredProven experience with internal audits, document control, and quality system maintenanceStrong written, verbal, and organizational skillsWillingness and ability to travel regularly to multiple sitesPreferred QualificationsISO Lead Auditor or Certified Internal AuditorASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar certificationExperience supporting multi site manufacturing organizationsEligible employees are offered:401(k) with company matchEmployer paid life insurance and AD&DEmployer paid disabilityWellness programAdoption assistanceTuition assistanceEmployee assistance programWork life balancePaid time off (PTO), sick leave and paid holidays throughout the calendar year (consistent with relevant state law and company policies)The Safariland Group believes in the benefits of a diverse workforce and is committed to equal opportunity and affirmative actions.
