Mechanical Foreman Job Profile

1.0 Position Title:

Mechanical Piping Foreman

2.0 Nature & Objective:

A support position to ISO Services. The Pipe Foreman is responsible for supervision of fabrication, installation, and repair of piping, steel structure, and associated equipment, and for other activities involving ISO Services.

3.0 Reports to:

Mechanical Superintendent

4.0 Position Qualifications:

Requires High School Diploma or G.E.D; Requires successful completion of training requirements as outlined by ISO Services. Requires effective communication and organizational skills. Minimum four (4) years pipe welding or fitting experience; Minimum of one (1) year of supervision experience; Minimum of two (2) years of rigging and/or crane operation experience; Tank repair experience would be beneficial.

5.0 Responsibilities include the following:

  • Hands on management of our construction jobsite resources (people, subcontractors, materials, tools, equipment) with focus on installation of structural steel, piping, and equipment

  • Daily identification and mitigation of jobsite hazards

  • Provide daily reporting to project management

  • Follows policies and practices as stated in the Employee Handbook and other facility policy and procedure manuals.

  • Maintains a clean and well-organized workspace at all times.

  • Strives to develop good working relationship with all co-workers, customers, and associates.

  • On call duties as required

  • Work per OSHA standards.

  • Travel and overnight stay for several weeks at a time.

  • Other miscellaneous duties as requested.

6.0 Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50#.

  • Must be in a physical condition that will allow walking long distances

  • Must be able to work in high places(no fear of heights)

  • Must be able to work in any environment(heat, cold, rain)

  • Must be able to physically work up to 84 hours a week, if necessary

  • Must be able to stand for an extended period of time

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach and climb

  • Must be able to work in confined spaces

  • Must be well-groomed
