PURPOSE
Our client is seeking an IT Administrator to be responsible for installing, configuring, updating, and troubleshooting network devices and systems, such as routers, switches, firewalls, servers, etc. They will monitor network performance and availability and implement and enforce network security policies and procedures.
 
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade network infrastructure, equipment, and software to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and security; troubleshoot and resolve network issues, outages, and vulnerabilities.
  • Implement, maintain, and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard company data and systems.
  • Provide technical support for network-related issues, respond to user requests, and deliver training and guidance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, incidents, and inventory.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend network technologies, solutions, and system improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with internal IT staff, vendors, and service providers to support network operations and project implementation.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, system administration, or a closely related field preferred
  • Industry certification in network administration or engineering (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Network+) preferred
  • Proven experience as a systems administrator or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, standards, and architectures, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN technologies
  • Experience with network hardware and software, including Cisco and Juniper equipment, and administration of Windows Server and Linux environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, work independently and collaboratively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license required
