The role 

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented IT Technician to support manufacturing operations through reliable system performance and technical support. This role is responsible for maintaining production IT systems, troubleshooting issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced automotive environment. 

What You’ll Do 

• Support production systems to reduce or eliminate equipment downtime and scrap 

• Maintain broadcast systems, error-proofing systems, printers, and production interfaces 

• Manage backup hardware, software, and spare parts for critical production systems 

• Assist with implementation of IT-related projects including VA/VE and Six Sigma initiatives 

• Develop and maintain system documentation and disaster recovery procedures 

• Provide technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues 

• Document activities and ensure compliance with company processes and safety requirements 

Who you are 

• High School Diploma with additional technical education or equivalent experience 

• 2-4 years of IT or technical support experience in a manufacturing environment 

• Proficiency in Microsoft systems, networking, and hardware troubleshooting 

• Experience with operating systems, databases, and production-related technologies 

• Knowledge of networking components such as routers, switches, and TCP/IP 

• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills 

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation
