IT Analyst 2 - End User Support

The IT Analyst reports to the Director of end user support and works to install, administer, and optimize LSUHS-S technical equipment to achieve high availability and consistent performance of the technical infrastructure of LSUHS-S. This individual also implements policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and system maintenance are consistent with organizational goals, and industry best practices. The position is responsible for supporting all LSUHS-Shreveport critical technical systems and application functions including but not limited to desktop support. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; additional hours may be required. Essential Position Functions & Duties Essential Functions: 95% The IT Analyst 2 will work closely with faculty, staff, and students under direct supervision from the ITG End User Support Director. Incumbent will also take direction and training from higher level analysts and the ITG End User Support Director. In this role, you will provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting end users. The position will be responsible for internal support of the computers, printers, audio/video equipment and related equipment. Examples of work: Provide basic end user technical support; installation of systems and computing equipment. Perform first level triage and troubleshooting of end user printer and computer systems. Maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping processes, and service records. Utilize available tools to monitor and test system performance to facilitate problem identification and resolution. Assist in performance of end-user reviews, for modified and new system evaluation and purchase. Assist with basic customer education as it relates to system configuration and operation. Assist with application management Available on-call outside of normal business hours for emergencies and for scheduled maintenance as needed.
