The IT Analyst 3 reports to the Assistant Director for Servers & Applications and provides administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support for enterprise server, identity, virtualization, Microsoft 365, storage, and application environments supporting LSU Health Shreveport. The incumbent works with the Server & Applications team to ensure the availability, security, performance, and reliability of infrastructure services and enterprise applications. The position supports Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 services, VMware virtualization platforms, backup and recovery solutions, enterprise applications, and authentication systems. Responsibilities include system administration, account and access management, infrastructure monitoring, patch management, vulnerability remediation, troubleshooting, and participation in disaster recovery and business continuity efforts. The IT Analyst 3 collaborates with Information Technology teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to implement technology solutions, resolve technical issues, maintain operational documentation, and support technology modernization initiatives. The incumbent conducts technical problem analysis, documents findings and resolutions, develops operational efficiencies, and maintains current knowledge of supported technologies to ensure a secure, reliable, and customer-focused computing environment. This position may require participation in scheduled maintenance windows, after-hours support, and incident response activities as needed to maintain critical infrastructure and enterprise services. Regular attendance is required to perform the functions of this position. Incumbent will maintain a customer-oriented awareness in acknowledging and responding to needs as they occur that customer satisfaction is met at all times. 95% Essential Position Functions & Duties Administer and support enterprise servers, virtualization, storage, and infrastructure systems to maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing technology services. Manage identity, access, and authentication services including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, user accounts, security groups, MFA, and SSO Support Microsoft 365 and cloud services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, licensing, and cloud identity Perform infrastructure administration activities including server deployments, upgrades, patching, migrations, backups, recovery operations, and disaster recovery preparedness. Support enterprise applications, databases, and business systems through installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination. Monitor system health, address security vulnerabilities, maintain secure configurations, and support cybersecurity, compliance, and operational best practices.
