Job Title: IT Analyst Standard III
Location: Washington, DC 20433 (4 Days per week onsite from Day1.)
Duration: 6 Months Long Term extensions

Essential Job Functions:
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques
  • Scanning through data generated by various operational data sources to develop meaningful insights
  • Provide decision support through development of processes, tools, reporting and complex data analytics
  • Analyze and interpret metrics, communicate findings and make appropriate recommendations to decision makers; format, extract and manipulate data to support analysis
  • Perform analysis of applications, operating systems (Windows/Mac), database layers, perform source code reviews, tests, apply system vulnerability assessment scans, leverage web, application, operating systems tools.
  • Perform application analysis on both native and web-based pc and mobile applications, including those of mobile platforms (iOS and Android)
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and perform web and database setups and scans
  • Analyze the results of network tests, monitoring, and miscellaneous troubleshooting activities
  • Run diagnostics and perform system updates to ensure devices are up to date and running properly
  • Assist in identifying and maintaining proper use of licenses and tools
  • Stay abreast of newer trends in tools and technologies for web and mobile applications
  • Advise on deployment strategies for new features and components, assessing if rollout plans are safe, progressive, and reversible
  • Monitor third party software versions and release notes and recommend upgrades and patches, as necessary
  • Manage day-to-day operation of help desk.
  • Manage internal client communication channels (help desk site, email, phone, chat etc.)
  • Assist clients with issues related to the use of the relevant application and provide resolutions.
  • Track requests and tasks from initiation until closing. Maintain detailed troubleshooting logs and ticketing status in the WBG ticketing system
  • Maintain records of clients, FAQs, issues, and all other types of requests.
  • Collect, compile and analyze data, and prepare reports on an ongoing basis.
  • Coordinate with development and QA teams to ensure reported issues are fixed and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Work with clients, information architects, project managers and designers to identify application and program management process improvements and pain points.
  • Work with designers and developers to configure applications.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing, track and manage issues/bugs reported by users or internal clients during User Acceptance Testing.
  • Evaluate, classify, and prioritize enhancement requests.
  • Handle communications and manage expectations around essential CMS information, guidelines, and processes
  • Facilitate communications among IT teams.
  • Conduct surveys to improve the quality of service for help desk.
  • Analyze application design and performance metrics and propose improvements.

Educational Qualifications and Experience:
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Role Specific Experience in IT, hands-on troubleshooting and client support experience
  • Extensive experience as a Data Analyst
  • Experience in training and coaching, support to application development.
  • Extensive experience with various system development lifecycle methodologies and tailoring the artifacts to those methodologies
  • Enterprise software implementation experience
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, OSI model, layer 2 and layer 3 concepts
  • Understanding of Windows OS, applications and administration, Windows Registry, File system, Active Directory, Microsoft products, O365, etc.
  • Web platforms, SharePoint, etc.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Network Packet Analysis
  • Strong understanding of Networking and Operating systems concepts

Related Certification:
  • ITIL Certification a plus
  • Cisco DevNet certification is a plus

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficiency in Excel, MSWord, Office, Outlook, O365 suite.
  • Ability to investigate issues and seek technical assistance, when necessary
  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Help Desk Analyst
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to suggest improvements for efficiency and effectiveness of solutions based on industry best practices
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Technical skills include knowledge of database languages such as SQL, or Python; spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; and data visualization software such as Tableau
  • Advanced knowledge of specific data analytics area, processes, data workflows, standards, and business practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and maintain applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate well with all levels, technical as well as non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work directly with clients and management without supervision and to facilitate and navigate discussions with stakeholders to ensure clarity, prioritization, and consensus
  • Leadership skills and ability to work well virtually with team members and clients
  • Ability to work with different points-of-view and lead the team to convergence, while always keeping the project objectives in sight
  • Ability to work with team members with varying levels of technical skills and diverse international backgrounds
  • Use collaborative skills to interact with database administrators, system managers, and external application mangers to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of assigned applications
  • Excellent personal organization skills and ability to take things to closure without follow-ups
  • Familiarity with Access Management and Governance issues and solutions
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: SailPoint, AD, LDAP/Passkey, and secure-ID/RSA
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure, demanding environment
  • Self-motivated, proactive, independent, and responsive (requiring little supervisory attention)
  • Solid oral and written communication skills, ability to present and explain technical information to end users in a simple way
  • Ability to adapt to and function in a project environment with multiple timetables and changing priorities
  • Ability to learn new concepts and approaches in Analyzing Security Incidents, analyzing hardware and software malfunctions.
