Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their IT Asset Management Assistant position! This is a 12-month contract-to-hire and will be onsite in Charlotte, NC. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:
Receive, unpack, and verify incoming IT equipment shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation of all technology assets
Maintain inventory accuracy by labeling, organizing, and tracking equipment through asset management systems and documentation processes
Prepare devices for deployment by staging, configuring, and coordinating equipment based on user requirements and delivery schedules
Coordinate with internal teams to fulfill equipment requests, manage timelines, and communicate delivery status across departments
Support hardware lifecycle management including returns, replacements, and environmentally responsible disposal and recycling activities
Update and maintain asset records with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data integrity across all tracking systems
Manage storage and staging areas to maintain organized, efficient, and accessible work environments
Assist with IT Asset Management projects and administrative tasks to support broader operational goals
What You'll Need to Have:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping/receiving, or IT support environments
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn asset management systems
Physical ability to lift and move equipment packages throughout the workday
Demonstrated customer service mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with inventory/asset management systems and basic understanding of computer hardware and peripherals (preferred)
