Job Description

As CohnReznick grows, so do our career opportunities. As one of the nation's top professional services firms, CohnReznick creates rewarding careers in advisory, assurance, and tax with team members who value innovation and collaboration in everything they do!

CohnReznick helps organizations optimize performance, manage risk, and maximize value through CohnReznick LLP (assurance services) and CohnReznick Advisory LLC (advisory and tax services). Together, the firm provides leaders with deep industry knowledge and relationships, solutions to address clients' unique business goals and risks, and insight on how emerging market forces can drive opportunity. With offices nationwide, the firm serves organizations around the world as an independent member of Nexia.

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an IT Asset Management Supervisor to join the team in our Parsippany office.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

WHY COHNREZNICK?

At CohnReznick, we're united by a common mission to create opportunity, value, and trust for our clients, our people, and our communities. Whether it's working alongside your peers to solve a client challenge, or volunteering together at the local food bank, there are so many ways to find your "why" at the firm.

We believe it's important to balance work with everyday life - and make time for enjoyment and fun. We invest in a robust Total Rewards package that includes everything from generous PTO, a flexible work environment, expanded parental leave, extensive learning & development, and even paid time off for employees to volunteer.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Hardware & Software Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee complete lifecycle management of all IT hardware assets including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, servers, networking equipment, and data center infrastructure
  • Manage software asset inventory, license compliance, and optimization initiatives to ensure efficient utilization and cost control
  • Coordinate asset procurement, receiving, tagging, configuration, deployment, and retirement processes across all global locations
  • Track and maintain detailed records of asset specifications, configurations, warranty information, and maintenance history
  • Develop and manage asset refresh schedules and budgets in collaboration with IT leadership and Finance teams
  • Ensure secure and compliant disposal of end-of-life assets, including data sanitization and environmental recycling requirements

ServiceNow Asset Management Platform Leadership

  • In the current state, hardware and software are not adequately maintained in ServieNow. This role will play a pivotal role in the strategic expansion of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) module modules
  • Maintain and optimize Hardware Asset Management (HAM) to include comprehensive tracking of data center infrastructure equipment (servers, storage, network devices, UPS systems, environmental controls)
  • Drive the integration of laptop and office infrastructure assets from global offices in India and Philippines into ServiceNow, ensuring complete visibility across all locations
  • Maintain and optimize ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) module, including regular updates to software titles, license counts, and compliance tracking
  • Configure and manage contract records in ServiceNow for all hardware and software agreements, including vendor details, renewal dates, costs, and associated assets
  • Develop and implement automated workflows and notifications for contract renewals, asset refresh cycles, and compliance alerts
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all ServiceNow asset modules through regular audits, reconciliation, and validation processes

End User Computing & Inventory Management

  • Partner closely with End User Computing team to streamline laptop distribution processes for new hires, replacements, and refresh initiatives
  • Maintain real-time inventory tracking of available, deployed, and in-repair hardware assets across all locations
  • Coordinate asset collection and returns from departing employees, ensuring timely recovery and appropriate redeployment or retirement
  • Manage shipping and logistics for international asset transfers between US, India, and Philippines offices
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory audits and reconcile findings with ServiceNow records to maintain accuracy

Contract & Vendor Management

  • Generate reports on contract spend, upcoming renewals, and optimization opportunities for cost savings
  • Support or coordinate with Finance, Procurement and Legal teams on contract terms, amendments, renewal processes, vendor negotiations, and budget planning

Compliance, Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate asset records, license compliance documentation, and contract verification
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards on asset utilization, inventory levels, refresh needs, and budget forecasts for IT leadership
  • Develop and maintain asset management policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures for consistent execution
  • Identify opportunities for process automation, efficiency improvements, and cost optimization within the asset management function
  • Implement best practices for IT asset management aligned with ITIL, ISO 19770, or other industry frameworks

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a small team of asset management professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management
  • Foster a problem-solving culture focused on delivering practical solutions that address business needs rather than simply checking boxes
  • Collaborate effectively with IT teams including Infrastructure, End User Computing, Security, and Service Desk to align asset management with broader IT operations
  • Partner with Finance teams on budget planning, asset capitalization, depreciation tracking, and financial reporting requirements
  • Work with global office managers and local IT staff in India and Philippines to ensure consistent asset management practices
  • Serve as subject matter expert and escalation point for complex asset management questions and challenges

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow Asset Management modules (HAM and SAM), including configuration, customization, and reporting
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role managing asset management or IT operations staff
  • Experience managing global IT assets across multiple geographic locations, preferably including offshore/international operations
  • Demonstrated experience in professional services, consulting, accounting, or similar client-focused business environments
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with ServiceNow Asset Management, including HAM, SAM, Contract Management, and associated workflows
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex reporting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams)
  • Working knowledge of data center infrastructure components, server hardware, storage systems, and networking equipment
  • Understanding of software licensing models (perpetual, subscription, concurrent, named user) and compliance requirements
  • Experience with asset tracking technologies including barcode scanning, RFID, or automated discovery tools
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and IT service management best practices

Core Competencies

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a focus on finding practical, business-aligned solutions rather than rigid process adherence
  • Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Proven leadership capabilities with ability to motivate, develop, and manage a small team effectively
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly collaborative approach with commitment to building strong cross-functional relationships
  • Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating strong initiative and ownership mentality
  • Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced, changing environments typical of growing professional services firms
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with diverse, global teams
