The IT Business Analyst is responsible for supporting IT initiatives including gathering business requirements, identifying meaningful KPIs, generating a Cost Benefit Analyst (CBA), providing project support to development teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues, supporting RFI / RFP efforts, and conducting post initiative business value validation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Gather and document business requirements associated with IT requests • Understand user requirements and support users and development teams during the development, testing and deployment phases of projects. This includes clarifying requirements, resolving issues, creating project documentation and other project needs. • Support developer testing and UAT • Update projects data to support BA activity tracking • Support financial analysis for projects, assisting IT and business leads with financial calculations • Provide rough labor estimates of initiatives meeting criteria for BA involvement to the IT Resource Management team • Assist with the identification of meaningful KPIs associated with initiatives processed by the BA team • Assist in the development of decision documents - supporting IT and business leads as needed • Assist in the development, submission, management and analysis of RFIs or RFPs • Report on BA related data and project related data, including KPI measurements • Provide requirements to support dashboard development if required
Physical and Sensory Demands:
Requires sitting for up to 8 hours per day, 2 hours at a time. Standing for up to 4 hours per day, 3 hours at a time. Requires occasional fingering, handling, and twisting and turning while entering data into the computer. Occasionally requires lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasionally requires reaching above shoulder level. Must have the ability to hear as it relates to normal conversation, seeing as it relates to general, peripheral and near vision, visual monotony.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration (or relevant major) or equivalent work experience is required.
Training and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of financial and/or business analytics experience required. Minimum 2 years of experience working in a team environment and an ability to work independently with little oversight required. Minimum 2 years of experience performing project assessments or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years of IT experience required. Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience preferred.
