Description
Overview
Client is seeking a Healthcare Operations Data Analyst to support the operational and analytical foundation of its pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment operations. This role will develop, automate, validate, and maintain operational metrics and reporting across dispensing data sources while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, protected health information requirements, and covered-entity data-governance policies.
Core Responsibilities
Recreate, validate, maintain, and improve operational metrics using platform usage and pharmacy fulfillment data.
Improve the automation, accuracy, availability, and quality of dispensing and operational data.
Create and deploy operational dashboards for use within the covered entity.
Track and report performance metrics and provide timely, accurate updates to reporting tools.
Develop consolidated reporting views across dispensing data sources to support filtering, grouping, and finance reporting.
Conduct operational performance analysis using SQL and Excel.
Identify trends, operational issues, and improvement opportunities within pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment data.
Translate data findings into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
Support urgent operational issues through data-driven analysis and cross-functional problem-solving.
Contribute to KPI definitions, reporting standards, and data-strategy documentation.
Handle PHI and other sensitive data according to HIPAA, covered-entity policies, and established data-governance requirements.
Maintain appropriate separation between manufacturer and covered-entity data, including partner-level and patient-level information.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, data science, or a related discipline.
Proficiency in SQL and Excel.
Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language: Python or R.
Familiarity with healthcare, pharmacy, claims, or dispensing operational data.
1 3 years of work experience within a HIPAA covered entity.
Experience developing, validating, or maintaining operational metrics and reporting.
Understanding of HIPAA, PHI handling, data privacy, and covered-entity compliance requirements.
Ability to complete and maintain required data privacy, HIPAA, and covered-entity compliance training.
Ability to handle protected health information according to established policies.
Preferred Skills or Experience
Experience creating operational dashboards, KPI reporting, or cross-source analytical views.
Experience improving reporting automation, data accuracy, or data-quality validation.
Understanding of pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment operations.
Experience documenting KPIs, reporting processes, or data strategies.
Understanding of manufacturer and covered-entity data-separation requirements.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and business acumen.
Ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly to internal stakeholders.
Experience working across business, operations, analytics, and compliance teams.
