CLIENT is seeking an experienced and highly organized IT Business Analyst / Transition Coordinator to support application transition activities associated with a large-scale acquisition carve-out.
The role will provide hands-on business analysis, application discovery, data management, and coordination across a portfolio of business applications. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, application owners, IT teams, project leadership, and external parties to facilitate Knowledge Transfer (KT), Data Requests, application information management, reporting, and overall transition readiness.
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple applications and stakeholder groups simultaneously. The individual should be able to identify information and knowledge gaps, translate them into actionable requests, track activities through completion, analyze application-level information, and provide clear management reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, outstanding actions, and readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Knowledge Transfer & Application Discovery
- Coordinate Knowledge Transfer (KT) requests across business stakeholders, IT teams, application owners, and external parties.
- Meet with business users, application owners, and IT stakeholders to understand the current level of application knowledge and identify gaps requiring additional information, documentation, or knowledge transfer.
- Facilitate application discovery discussions to understand:
- Application functionality and business usage
- Key business processes supported
- Business users, application owners, and stakeholders
- Application data usage and storage
- Interfaces and integrations
- Upstream and downstream dependencies
- Application environments
- Operational and support processes
- Help stakeholders translate identified information and knowledge gaps into clear, actionable KT requests.
- Coordinate KT sessions with the appropriate business, IT, and external participants.
- Document key information, decisions, outcomes, gaps, and follow-up actions resulting from discovery and KT activities.
- Data Request Coordination
- Coordinate Data Requests from business and IT stakeholders throughout the application transition.
- Work with requestors to clarify the information or data required and ensure sufficient details are captured before requests are submitted.
- Submit and coordinate requests through established project and organizational processes.
- Track requests from initiation through completion and proactively follow up on outstanding questions, actions, dependencies, and approvals.
- Escalate delays or blockers that could affect transition timelines or readiness.
- Application Information & Data Management
- Maintain application-level information required to support transition planning and execution.
- Ensure application information and project data are complete, accurate, current, and appropriately organized.
- Maintain trackers covering applications, KT requests, data requests, actions, dependencies, risks, issues, and completion status.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to identify missing, inconsistent, or incomplete application information.
- Work with appropriate stakeholders to resolve identified information gaps.
- Analysis, Reporting & Presentations
- Analyze application, KT, Data Request, and transition information to identify:
- Information and knowledge gaps
- Outstanding activities
- Risks and issues
- Application dependencies
- Delayed actions
- Trends and recurring concerns
- Areas requiring follow-up or escalation
- Develop and maintain project trackers, dashboards, status reports, and management information.
- Create concise and professional PowerPoint presentations and management-level status updates.
- Communicate key metrics, progress, risks, issues, dependencies, outstanding actions, and overall transition readiness.
- Provide data-driven insights to Application Transition Leads and project leadership to support prioritization and decision-making.
- Stakeholder & Transition Coordination
- Work collaboratively with Application Transition Leads, Project Managers, Business Leads, Application Owners, IT teams, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate multiple concurrent applications, requests, meetings, actions, and dependencies.
- Proactively follow up with stakeholders to ensure agreed actions and deliverables are completed on schedule.
- Identify and escalate gaps, delays, risks, or dependencies that could impact transition readiness.
- Support broader transition planning and execution activities as required.
Required Experience & Qualifications- 2–5 years of experience in an IT Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Project Coordinator, Application Analyst, PMO Analyst, or similar technology-focused role.
- 3+ years of experience working directly with business users and IT stakeholders to gather information, understand business and application needs, and document requirements, decisions, and outcomes.
- 3+ years of strong business analysis and discovery skills, including the ability to ask effective follow-up questions, identify information gaps, and translate findings into actionable next steps.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent applications, requests, actions, stakeholders, and dependencies.
- Strong experience maintaining project or application trackers and following activities through completion.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience organizing, analyzing, validating, reconciling, and maintaining data for project or portfolio tracking and reporting.
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and presentation development skills, with the ability to convert detailed application and project information into concise management-level updates.
- General understanding of enterprise application and technology concepts, including:
- Application functionality
- Business processes
- Application data
- Interfaces and integrations
- Application environments
- Dependencies
- Application ownership and support processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned activities, proactively follow up with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional, and geographically distributed environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Previous experience supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A), acquisitions, divestitures, or carve-outs.
- Experience with application transition, separation, migration, or integration programs.
- Experience coordinating formal Knowledge Transfer and Data Request processes.
- Experience supporting application portfolio management, application discovery, or application rationalization initiatives.
- Experience working with large, cross-functional enterprise technology programs involving business, IT, and external stakeholders.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is
$45 to $53. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
