About This Opportunity:

The IT Business Operations Intern (ITBO) will assist in the flow of processes and procedures for the IT department. This role is key in submitting purchasing requests through iProcurement and monitoring the ticket through the system until a PO is assigned. The intern will work closely with IT managers/requestors, members of the Vendor Management Team, and members of the FP&A Team to gather information for each request and see it through to the end. The ITBO Intern will also be responsible for assisting with updating the team agenda on a daily basis and attending the ITBO team meeting each Friday. The intern will also assist with engaging NetNet (a third party company that reviews software/maintenance/hardware quotes and negotiates a better deal on behalf of InComm) on various quotes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in submitting purchasing requests through iProcurement
  • Tracking iProc tickets as they go through the approval process
  • Assist in updating the ITBO agenda and attending the weekly team meetings
  • Assist in the engagement of Net(net) by keeping up with the tracker and keeping the email conversations going until a final decision is made
Qualifications:

Internship Eligibility and Requirements

  • College Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a full-time academic program, currently a junior or rising senior enrolled at a local Atlanta University (e.g., Georgia State University, University of Georgia, Kennesaw State University), pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance or a related field. 
  • Expected Graduation: Students must be on track to graduate in May or December 2027.
  • GPA Requirements: A minimum GPA of 3.0 or above is required to be considered for the position.
  • Location Requirement: This is a remote internship based in Atlanta, Georgia. Applicants must be local to Atlanta, Georgia, and able to work in person (or hybrid, as required).
  • Availability: Must be available at least 20 hours per week on weekdays year‑round; schedule is flexible to accommodate academic commitments

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to communicate with both within the IT department and outside the IT department and gather information needed for or follow up on purchasing requests.
  • Strong analytical skills is preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of tools such as Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Power BI is a bonus 
  • Must be self-motivated, have the ability to prioritize effectively and not shy away to seek guidance when blocked on a task.
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to work with a wide range of teams across the company
