Build and maintain Epic Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory application functionality, support pharmacy-related incidents, service requests, and operational workflows, gather requirements and implement approved enhancements and optimization efforts, support pharmacy integrations, dispensing systems, and related interfaces, Participate in testing, upgrades, implementations, and ongoing application support.
What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background specific industry experience etc.)? The ideal candidate will have a strong healthcare IT background with direct experience supporting Epic Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory applications in a hospital or integrated health system environment. Candidates should possess a thorough understanding of pharmacy operations, medication management workflows, medication dispensing processes, order verification, inventory management, and clinical application support. Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, application optimization initiatives, and production support is highly desired. Candidates should have a proven ability to work directly with pharmacists, pharmacy leadership, clinicians, and operational stakeholders to design, build, test, deploy, and support pharmacy system solutions. Experience supporting multiple facilities or health systems is preferred.
What skills/attributes are required (please be detailed as to number of years of experience for each skill)? Epic Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory Certification with 3+ years of hands-on build and support experience, 3+ years of healthcare IT or pharmacy systems experience, 3+ years supporting pharmacy workflows, including medication ordering, verification, dispensing, inventory, and medication administration processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Ability to work independently in a remote support environment while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
What skills/attributes are preferred (what will set a candidate apart)? Dual Willow certification (Inpatient and Ambulatory), pharmacist background, Willow Inventory experience, Pyxis/Omnicell integration experience, and prior support of large multi-facility health systems. Experience with Epic implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives is highly desirable.
What will the interview process look like? (Video phone or in person? How many rounds? How technical will the interviews be?) One Microsoft Teams video interview with the hiring manager and/or Clinical Apps sub-domain leader. Interview will be moderately technical and will focus on Epic Willow certification, pharmacy workflow experience, application build/support, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
