Position Overview/Responsibilities for the IT Category Manager, Global Procurement:

  • Develop and execute IT category strategies to optimize spend and drive efficiencies.

  • Build strong relationships with internal IT business partners to identify opportunities for quality improvement and value enhancement.

  • Lead contract negotiations with major vendors for Software and Cloud services, ensuring alignment with business needs.

  • Maintain expert knowledge of global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations.

  • Collaborate with IT stakeholders and matrix partners to ensure strategic alignment and compliance with company policies.

Required Skills for IT Category Manager, Global Procurement:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain management, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • 5-10 years of experience in IT software procurement, including contract negotiation and red-lining.

  • Proven success in negotiating large enterprise software agreements and niche software contracts.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.

  • Experience with Ariba Procurement tooling is a plus.
