Job Description: IT Change Management Specialist (PLM & Product Development Focus)
The IT Change Management Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing technology and business process changes across product development and manufacturing operations. This role will play a key part in supporting PLM system implementations, upgrades, and organizational change initiatives while ensuring successful user adoption and minimal business disruption.
The ideal candidate combines strong IT change management expertise with a deep understanding of the apparel product development lifecycle, manufacturing operations, and cross-functional collaboration. Experience supporting PLM systems such as Andromeda, Kubix Link, or similar platforms is highly preferred.
This position works closely with Design, Raw Materials, Tech Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Sourcing, and Manufacturing teams to ensure technology and process changes are effectively implemented and understood across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and administer change management processes for enterprise systems, applications, and operational workflows.
Support PLM implementation and system transition initiatives, Andromeda, Kubix Link, or similar product lifecycle management platforms.
Partner with cross-functional business teams including Design, Raw Materials, Tech Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Sourcing, and Manufacturing.
Facilitate organizational readiness, stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and user adoption activities.
Coordinate Requests for Change (RFCs), implementation schedules, testing, training, and deployment activities.
Conduct impact assessments and identify operational risks related to process and system changes.
Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and cross-functional alignment discussions.
Develop training materials, process documentation, user guides, and communication plans.
Support data migration, workflow updates, and process standardization efforts tied to PLM and product development systems.
Monitor change adoption metrics, user feedback, and implementation success rates.
Conduct post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement assessments.
Ensure all changes comply with governance, operational standards, and business objectives.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users to translate operational needs into effective change strategies.
Need to support global teams across multiple time zones during critical implementation phases.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Apparel Merchandising, or related field.
5+ years of experience in IT change management, business transformation, PLM implementation, or related operational roles.
Experience supporting PLM systems such as Lectra, Kubix Link, Centric PLM, PTC FlexPLM, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of the apparel product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes.
Experience working with Design, Tech Design, Raw Materials, Merchandising, Product Development, and Manufacturing teams.
Working knowledge of:
o Bills of Materials (BOMs)
o Cost Sheets
o Garment measurements and specifications
o Patterns and apparel construction concepts
Strong understanding of organizational change management and stakeholder engagement best practices.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proven track record of successful system implementations and user adoption initiatives.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
ITIL Foundation, Prosci, CCMP, or related certification.
Experience in apparel, fashion, or consumer goods manufacturing environments.
Experience with ERP, PLM, and product development workflow integrations.
Familiarity with Agile, project management, or process improvement methodologies.
Experience supporting global or multi-site operational teams.
