IT Configuration Technician

Position Overview

The IT Configuration Technician is responsible for preparing IT equipment for deployment by performing pre-configuration tasks, validating device functionality, and ensuring all work meets documented quality standards. This role involves hands-on work with hardware, basic device setup, and packaging. It is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth within the IT field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow written instructions to provision and configure devices according to customer requirements.
  • Perform basic kitting of equipment and prepare items for deployment.
  • Unbox, re-box, and process equipment for shipment.
  • Clean, test, and inspect devices to ensure proper functionality.
  • Escalate technical or process issues to a supervisor when needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, bending, and carrying equipment.
  • Occasional use of basic tools for device assembly or teardown.
  • Ability to read instructions, type, and work from a computer.

This is a Contract position based out of Brook Park, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
