This position supports and improves the technology systems, applications, and data resources used within Facilities Services. This role ensures reliable application performance, accurate and meaningful data reporting, and effective technical support for end users to support daily operations and informed decision-making. By maintaining system functionality, analyzing operational data, assisting with technology improvements, and supporting enterprise platforms (e.g. Oracle Fusion Cloud, TDX, Kahua, SCADA/BAS systems, etc.) the position helps enhance efficiency, service delivery, and continuous improvement across the department.

Required Education and Experience:
Associate's degree or vocational/technical training with at least 3 years of professional experience required in at least two of the following areas: data analysis, data warehousing, data visualization, application development, business intelligence, enterprise application support, statistical programming, or data prep.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of data analysis principles, reporting methods, and data management practices used to support operational and strategic decision
making. Skill in troubleshooting, supporting, and administering enterprise applications, software systems, and end-user technologies.
Ability to analyze complex information, identify trends or discrepancies, and develop practical recommendations for process improvement and
operational efficiency.
Skill in developing documentation, training materials, and delivering end-user instruction for technology systems and business processes.
Ability to communicate effectively and provide professional customer service while collaborating with technical staff, vendors, leadership, and end
users. Knowledge of information technology standards, security practices, system access controls, and applicable policies and procedures related to
enterprise systems and data management.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, etc.)
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
Solid understanding of AI and machine learning and the ability to engineer AI prompts.

About The College/Department/Division
UT Facilities Services is responsible for the care and keeping of more than 300 facilities and utilities systems in and around Knoxville. As the University of Tennessee Knoxville's largest non-academic department, team members are responsible for facilities maintenance and repair, custodial needs, landscaping and lawncare, utility work, in-house and capital construction projects, facilities planning and design, environmental initiatives, pest control, campus event services, and facilities administration functions for both the flagship campus and the agricultural institute. The Facilities Services staff provides around-the-clock coverage to ensure students, staff, faculty, and fans have a consistent and positive experience every time they step foot on Rocky Top.
