Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an IT Desktop Administrator for a Contract job with a client in Normal, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting enterprise desktop environments, end-user computing technologies, hardware and software troubleshooting, and IT support operations.

Rate Range: $38/hour to $41/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

IT Desktop Administrator Job Responsibilities Include:

• Provide desktop and end-user support by troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system, application, and connectivity issues in a timely manner.

• Install, configure, maintain, and support desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, printers, and related technology equipment.

• Diagnose and resolve technical incidents while documenting troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and support requests in accordance with established processes.

• Support operating system deployments, software installations, upgrades, patches, and endpoint management activities across the enterprise environment.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application support teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve service delivery.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

• A minimum of three years of experience providing desktop support, technical support, help desk support, or systems administration services within an enterprise environment.

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, desktop hardware, laptop technologies, printer support, and endpoint troubleshooting.

• Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues affecting end-user devices, software applications, and network connectivity.

• Experience supporting enterprise desktop management tools, ticketing systems, and IT service management processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting large enterprise environments with distributed users, multiple locations, and complex technology ecosystems.

• Familiarity with Active Directory, user account administration, endpoint management solutions, and desktop security best practices.

• Experience performing hardware deployment, workstation refresh projects, imaging, software packaging, and migration activities.

• Knowledge of ITIL-based support practices, incident management processes, and service delivery frameworks.

• Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or other desktop support-related credentials are considered a plus.

Pay Details: $38.00 to $41.00 per hour
