Overview

Client is seeking a Corporate Field Services Technician to provide technical support for computer systems, software, hardware, and infrastructure in an onsite field services environment. This role will support incoming service requests and incidents in person and, at times, remotely, with a focus on Windows 11, Microsoft Office, hardware support, ticket handling, and end-user issue resolution.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance for service requests and incidents related to computer systems, software, hardware, and infrastructure.
  • Identify, diagnose, resolve, or route tickets according to documented processes.
  • Support Active Directory administration tasks.
  • Provide limited support for corporate mobile devices.
  • Support Office 365 and other cloud-based applications.
  • Troubleshoot Cisco VPN connectivity and Citrix connectivity issues.
  • Use remote connection tools to support end users.
  • Support asset management, hardware ordering, deployment, and configuration.
  • Support Edge, Google Chrome, and other browser-related issues.
  • Install and configure Adobe products and Check Point endpoint client software.
  • Troubleshoot and install printers and printer drivers.
  • Use ServiceNow for ticket management and service tracking.
  • Deploy and configure standard IP telephony.
  • Maintain documentation and use knowledge base resources.
  • Support customer scheduling, follow-ups, and equipment moves.
  • Participate in project work, multi-team interactions, and technical roundtables.
  • Perform standard device imaging using USB and PXE servers.
  • Perform smart-hands tasks outside of standard operational work as needed.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • 1+ year of hardware experience beyond imaging/deployment or relevant experience.
  • Experience with Windows OS deployment, especially Windows 11.
  • Microsoft Office and Microsoft-based application support experience.
  • Active Directory administration exposure.
  • Basic Command Prompt and PowerShell knowledge.
  • ServiceNow or similar ticketing system experience.
  • Experience supporting end users in person.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, printer, browser, VPN, and remote access issues.
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Associate's degree.
  • CompTIA IT Fundamentals.
  • CompTIA A+.
  • CompTIA Cloud+.
  • CompTIA Mobility+.
  • CompTIA Network+.
  • CompTIA Server+.
  • Experience with Office 365, Citrix, Cisco VPN, Check Point endpoint client software, Adobe products, IP telephony, and PXE imaging.

Work Details

  • Onsite role in Painted Post, NY.
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Some schedule flexibility may be required.
  • First round phone screen.
  • Second round onsite interview.
  • Assignment anticipated through end of year with possibility of extension based on demand.
  • Initial assignment location is subject to change based on field services needs.
  • Light travel may be required for event support and/or remote site support.
