Role Overview

Our client, a leading global technology organization, is seeking an experienced SAP Production Planning (PP) Solution Architect / Functional Lead to oversee the architecture, implementation, and optimization of enterprise manufacturing and planning processes. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA solutions, delivering robust configurations across Production Planning, Materials Management, and Advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP) to streamline global supply chain and manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Architect, configure, and implement comprehensive SAP Production Planning (PP) and Materials Management (MM) solutions within an SAP S/4HANA environment.

• Configure and maintain Material Master, Bill of Materials (BOM), Routings, Production Versions, Work Centers, Production Orders, Process Orders, and Repetitive Manufacturing workflows.

• Configure and fine-tune MRP Live, Classic MRP, Demand Management, Long-Term Planning, and capacity/scheduling parameters.

• Design, implement, and optimize SAP Advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP) features including Product Availability Check, Alternative-Based Confirmation (ABC), Backorder Processing (BOP), and Product Allocation (PAL).

• Configure procurement, inventory management, goods movements, stock transfers, and material valuation to ensure efficient material flow.

• Drive cross-functional integration between SAP PP and SD, MM, EWM, WM, QM, PM, TM, IBP, MES platforms, and SAP BTP/PI/PO middleware using APIs, IDocs, and OData services.

• Lead business process workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and the creation of detailed Functional Specifications while reviewing Technical Specifications.

• Oversee cutover activities, Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), go-live execution, and post-go-live hypercare support.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of hands-on functional experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) and Materials Management (MM).

• Proven track record of leading at least 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations and 2+ SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.

• In-depth functional expertise with SAP S/4HANA PP, SAP MM, MRP Live, Capacity Planning, and SAP ATP / Advanced ATP (aATP).

• Deep integration experience across core SAP modules (SD, MM, EWM, WM, QM, PM, TM) and integration frameworks (BTP, PI/PO, IDocs, APIs, OData).

• Strong domain knowledge in manufacturing and supply chain processes within High-Tech, Discrete Manufacturing, Consumer Products, Automotive, or Industrial sectors.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, workshop facilitation, and leadership capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA, SAP PP, or SAP MM official certifications.

• Experience with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM).

• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) integration.

• Working knowledge of SAP Fiori, Embedded Analytics, Power BI, or Tableau.
