Description
Salary is 170k to 250k
4 days onsite and 1 day remote
We are seeking an experienced IT Director to lead the strategy, delivery, and ongoing evolution of our technology environment. This role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, hands-on technical leadership, and a practical approach to modernizing systems and improving the overall technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute IT strategy aligned with business goals and growth priorities
Provide strategic direction while ensuring technology decisions are practical, scalable, and cost-effective
Lead modernization initiatives including system upgrades, and process improvement
This is a hands-on role and requires active involvement in architecture, solution design, and key technical decisions. The IT Director will serve as the primary technical authority within the organization and will partner closely with the managed service provider (MSP) to ensure effective execution, alignment with business needs, and reliable day-to-day operations.
Oversee IT operations including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support services delivered through the MSP
Evaluate and upgrade existing systems and tools to improve performance, reliability, and security
Lead, mentor, and develop internal stakeholders and coordinate closely with external IT partners
Manage IT budget, vendor relationships, and technology partnerships
Establish and maintain IT governance, security, and compliance practices appropriate to the environment
Partner closely with leadership to translate business needs into effective technology solutions
Drive automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement across systems and processes
Operate within a Microsoft-based environment, leveraging Microsoft technologies as the core of the enterprise ecosystem
Qualifications
IT leadership experience in smaller or mid-sized environments
Strong ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution
Experience working across infrastructure, applications, and enterprise systems
Proven ability to operate as the primary technical owner in an organization
Strong experience in Microsoft environments
Strong understanding of working with MSPs or outsourced IT service providers
Knowledge of cybersecurity, system integration, and IT operations
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in a fast-moving environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
