Job Summary:

The ITDR Solution Architect works closely with application and infrastructure groups to solve complex business resilience challenges using available technology, including hardware, software, databases, and peripherals. This role focuses on translating business recovery objectives into robust technical system solutions. Assignments are often straightforward and of moderate complexity, primarily involving architecture reviews for both on-premises and cloud-based applications to ensure alignment with business recovery objectives and infrastructure resiliency patterns.

The ideal candidate will be highly passionate about contributing to an organization focused on structural resilience, disaster recovery, and continuously improving consumer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture Reviews & Assessments: Assess current configurations of on-premises and cloud applications to evaluate their structural alignment with business-aligned recovery objectives.
• Gap Analysis & Remediation: Identify vulnerabilities or gaps in existing system builds and propose actionable, compliant technical solution fixes.
• Testing & Readiness Validation: Assess the feasibility and worthiness of applications to undergo live disaster recovery testing.
• Technical Integration: Translate business recovery objectives into highly resilient technical solutions, integrating hardware, software, and network interfaces into a cohesive system.
• Operational Execution: Manage own work priorities and approaches using precedent, documented procedures, and regulatory/professional standards.

Job Qualifications & Skills:

Domain Expertise:

• IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR): Strong foundational knowledge of disaster recovery concepts, high availability architectures, and business continuity infrastructure patterns.
• Hybrid Infrastructure: Familiarity with assessing both traditional on-premises data centers and modern cloud application environments.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent Communication: Ability to articulate technical gaps and recovery solutions clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Team Collaboration: Proven experience working cross-functionally across diverse application and infrastructure groups.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Strong drafting skills to maintain architecture review logs, solution designs, and compliance documentation.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a directly related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Experience: 7-10 years of progressive IT experience focused specifically on architecture/engineering, information security, or other specialized technology fields.

Certifications & Preferences (Preferred):

• Proven experience specifically acting as a Disaster Recovery Solutions Architect.
• Active Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery ( BC/DR) professional certification (e.g., CBCP, EDCRP, or equivalent cloud provider recovery certs).
