Project Overview
The IT Engagement Analyst coordinates and facilitates executive engagement, governance and coordinates external activities on behalf of NYPA IT leadership with critical technology partners. As a support function, this role will coordinate technology workshops across key domains (cyber, cloud, and AI). This is a fast-paced, high-visibility exciting role suited to a candidate who thrives in a dynamic environment, gives incredible attention to detail and brings strong executive communication skills.
Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Engagement Tracking and Governance
- Analyze and prioritize requests from new technology vendors and lobby groups for appropriate engagement with NYPA IT Leaders, including review of debarred list of vendors from NYS, liaising with Strategic Relationship Management for insights on existing engagement across NYPA.
- Submit NYPA Project Sunshine documentation, as needed, for meetings and ensure execution of related action items and follow-ups.
- Track Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings, including meeting transcripts, leadership meeting artifacts, and attendee records for critical IT partners.
- Support facilitation and execution of performance reviews including capture and review of performance metrics, tracking complaints and escalations, and initiating annual performance surveys.
- Monitor and report on the vendor engagement & event pipeline of critical technology vendors (i.e. Google, Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, DataBricks, etc.)
- Partner effectively with Supplier Relationship Management and Strategic Supplier Management teams to ensure accurate vendor contact information.
- Events and Visibility
- Track and report engagement event metrics to capture national, state, and community reach.
- Report on external NYS events and conference attendance as needed.
- Maintain an inventory of engagement artifacts for executive level presentations.
- Facilitate monthly engagement calls with IT leadership to review proposed and scheduled engagements such as panels, keynotes, and moderating opportunities.
- Help identify and resolve scheduling conflicts for external commitments including keynotes, panels, and moderator requests.
- Serve as liaison between IT and Corporate Communications for external engagement initiatives such as internal intranet and external social media content, including LinkedIn posts.
- Track engagement targets and metrics.
- Awards and Recognition
- Identify technology and innovation award opportunities at the national, state, and community levels to showcase IT investments and accomplishments.
- Coordinate with IT SME's and appropriate business stakeholders to complete national, state, and local award submissions including Gartner Orbie Awards and submit by required deadlines.
Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience preparing executive-level presentations and reporting, such as at a top consulting or professional services firm, preferred
- PowerBI and SharePoint experience strongly encouraged
- Strong organizational and coordination skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written communication skills, including experience authoring content for executive audiences (e.g., LinkedIn)
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with IT, Corporate Communications/Marketing, and Supplier/Procurement Teams
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Communications
