IT Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on IT Engineer to join our US-based IT team.This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on infrastructure ownership, Microsoft cloud operations, security, and advanced troubleshooting in a fast-paced enterprise environment. You’ll work closely with global IT teams, support employees across multiple regions, and take part in ongoing IT projects while maintaining high standards of service, security, and reliability. This role reports directly to the Corporate IT Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end troubleshooting and root cause analysis across hybrid Microsoft environments (Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365), as well as server, endpoint, and networking infrastructure.
  • Identify high-priority incidents, manage escalations, and ensure timely resolution according to defined processes.
  • Maintain oversight of the daily incident and service request queue, ensuring tickets are assigned and handled with minimal delay.
  • Escalate unresolved or systemic issues while maintaining ownership and clear communication.
  • Administer and support Windows and Linux servers, as well as domain-based workstation environments.
  • Manage and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Implement and maintain Microsoft security controls, including Defender policies and endpoint protection configurations.
  • Perform network and communication troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, VPNs, routing, DNS, DHCP, firewall rules).
  • Monitor, audit, and analyze system and network activity to identify, mitigate, and respond to potential security incidents or vulnerabilities.
  • Support and participate in local, regional, and global IT projects.
  •  Contribute to continuous improvement of IT processes, documentation, automation, and operational standards.

Core Competencies

  • Infrastructure and Cloud Expertise: Demonstrates deep hands-on experience managing hybrid Microsoft environments, including Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, identity management, networking, and enterprise security.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Owns end to end troubleshooting across infrastructure, cloud, and network environments, with the ability to manage high priority incidents and drive timely resolution.
  • Security and Risk Awareness: Monitors, audits, and strengthens security posture through implementation of Defender policies, endpoint protection, firewall configurations, and proactive vulnerability mitigation.
  • Operational Discipline and Process Ownership: Maintains oversight of ticket queues, manages escalations effectively, ensures thorough documentation, and contributes to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience through certifications, vocational training, or hands on work.
  •  Minimum 3+ years of enterprise-level experience in an IT role (preferably in a tech-driven organization).
  • Hands-on experience with Windows & Linux Servers in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and identity services.
  • Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including policy configuration and security controls.
  •  Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts (identity, networking, security, access, automation).
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls.
  • Hands-on experience with Intune (device compliance, configuration profiles, Autopilot, app deployment).
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Identity, or related security tools).
  • Strong hands-on experience managing on-premises Active Directory (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP) in hybrid environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking and communication troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to provide professional, courteous, and effective end-user support.
  • Experience working with ITSM / ticketing systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Deep hands-on experience with Entra ID, including application integration, authentication flows, and Conditional Access policy enforcement
  • Strong hands-on experience managing Azure environments, including infrastructure, networking, and IAM/RBAC access control
  • Practical experience implementing and operating Zero Trust security models in enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and administering Windows Server environments (e.g. IIS, SQL, etc.)

 Preferred Qualifications

  •         Microsoft certifications (Azure, Security, or related)
  •          Proficiency in automation and scripting, such as: PowerShell, Bash, Python
  •          Experience supporting Linux and macOS environments
  •          Experience working with Cloudflare platform and related services
  •          Experience with IT Procurement (working with vendors, purchasing, and processing budgets)

Base Salary Range: $105,000.00-$130,000 annually
