RIGHTECH is a leading nationwide provider of technical staffing services, and we are currently seeking qualified candidates for an IT Field Technician role in the DC Metro region.

We are looking for IT Technicians with A+ and Network+ certification and willingness to drive daily around the DMV area (expenses covered). You will support several customer networks and should have experience in Windows deployment and maintenance, network installation and troubleshooting, and bonus if you have MAC or AV experiences.

Client locations: Daily travel sites between MD, DC and Northern Virginia.
Mileage will be reimbursed at the current IRS rate.

Must have:

  • Active CompTIA A+ or Network+ Certification
  • Security+ required within 90 days of hire



General Responsibilities:
The Technician will:

  • Provide on-site desktop support services for preventative, predictive, and remedial hardware/software maintenance on technology assets following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Perform hands-on fixes at several levels, including installing and upgrading hardware & software, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Assist senior technicians with desktop and network equipment deployments.
  • Ensure proper computer operations so that end users can accomplish organizational tasks.
  • Resolve technical issues with the use of diagnostics.
  • Provide hands-on help at the appropriate level to customers.
  • Be Required to attain CompTIA A+ Certification within 6 months of hire.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have:
  • 3+ years of working professional IT experience.
  • Reliable Transportation.
  • Willing and able to travel to sites in MD, DC, northern VA, and southern PA.
  • Experience with desktop operating systems including Windows 10 and Mac OS X
  • The more experienced with Microsoft Office the better
  • Hands-on experience with analyzing network data to determine network usage, disk space availability, or server function, or connectivity issues.
  • Experience identifying the causes of networking, software, and hardware problems, using diagnostic testing software and equipment.
  • Experience installing printers, scanners, and desktop phones.
