About the Opportunity
My client is seeking a highly skilled IT Vendor & Financial Analyst to support its Global Information Technology organization. This is a unique, high-impact role that blends IT financial planning and analysis with vendor and contract management across a global technology environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring financial transparency, cost optimization, disciplined vendor management, and strategic decision support across IT initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
IT Budgeting & Forecasting
Own development and management of the global IT annual budget and rolling forecasts
Track actuals vs. budget, analyze variances, and surface actionable insights
Support IT cost center owners with standardized financial planning processes
Partner with IT leadership and Finance to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting
IT Cost Analysis & Optimization
Monitor IT spend across:
Hardware and software
Cloud services and SaaS subscriptions
Licensing, maintenance, and vendor contracts
Identify cost‑reduction and efficiency opportunities across the IT portfolio
Proactively track and optimize cloud and SaaS usage
Perform invoice validation to ensure billing accuracy
Support and implement automation within procurement and invoicing workflows
Stay current on modern licensing and consumption models to guide decision‑making
Vendor & Contract Management
Support procurement, renewal, and governance of IT contracts and licenses
Manage vendor performance, compliance, cost, and risk (onshore and offshore)
Assist with RFP processes, vendor selection, and renewal negotiations
Partner with Legal and Finance on standardized contract templates, key terms, and documentation
Maintain a centralized repository for all IT contracts
Help define and support an offshore IT delivery model, including roles, responsibilities, and cost tracking
Reporting & Executive Insights
Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports for IT leadership
Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate financial performance and trends
Define, track, and monitor KPIs; implement alerts for budget or spend risks
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with IT, Finance, project managers, executives, and regional leaders
Support project financial tracking, forecasting, and resource planning
Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to evaluate performance and value
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, IT, or a related field
5-10 years of experience in:
IT finance, FP&A, or technology cost management
Supporting IT organizations directly or via Finance/Procurement
Demonstrated experience managing large project or portfolio‑level budgets
Hands‑on experience managing IT vendors and contracts (RFPs, renewals, performance)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
