Our Technology Advancement Group (TAG) plays a vital role in researching, designing, and implementing state-of-the-art technology solutions that advance the college's mission. This position is designated as “Essential” in accordance with UF policy.Contribute To Exceptional Learning ExperiencesAs an IT Generalist II, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team to implement the daily and strategic development, operation, and maintenance of systems:Design and implement all installations and provide maintenance and support of all integrated computing tools as listed above for the College of Journalism and Communications, including its affiliated Media Properties and the Innovation News CenterProvide discretion, judgment, and decision-making on all matters related to information technology and UF policiesMaintain Servers and related operating software including VMWareManage Desktop operating systems including Windows OS, Macintosh OS, and LinuxInstall and manage Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, SPSS, and newsroom operating/management systemsProvide endpoint management platforms such as SCCM and JAMFCoordinate hardware and software specific to the communications industries and required by faculty, staff, and students in the College, Centers, and Media PropertiesTroubleshoot and direct the implementation, training, and operation of all softwareCommunicate effectively and responsively to all faculty, staff, and students in the CollegeAbout Us:The College of Journalism and Communications is a leader in journalism, communications, and media production, with accreditation from the ACEJMC.
