IT Generalist

Your Tasks

  • Provide onsite IT support for end users in Carlsbad, CA, with additional onsite support for San Diego locations (Mira Mesa and Rancho Bernardo) and remote support for users across the North America region.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, peripherals, operating systems, standard business applications, and collaboration tools.
  • Support basic infrastructure operations under the guidance of senior IT administrators, including servers, storage systems, backups, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Assist with network operations, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, and VoIP systems, ensuring stable and secure connectivity.
  • Monitor systems and endpoints to identify, document, and escalate performance or security issues as needed.
  • Support small to medium IT projects, technology rollouts, and upgrades from planning through successful implementation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, assets, and user support activities.

Your Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in IT end-user support within a corporate or enterprise environment.
  • Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and Active Directory user administration.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting Cisco routers, switches, and enterprise firewalls.
  • Familiarity with VoIP systems, VPN solutions, and network monitoring tools.
  • Experience working with IT ticketing systems and ITIL-based support processes.
  • Exposure to server administration (e.g., Windows Server), backup solutions, or basic infrastructure management.

Additional Information

  • The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $80,000-100,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to employees, including a 401(k) plan with employer match, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 2 weeks for other parents, health plans (medical, dental, and vision), life insurance and disability, and generous paid time off.
