Job Description
Location: Columbia, SC (Onsite)Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week, 2nd Shift (2pm-10pm)Position OverviewThe IT Help Desk / Tier 1 Support Technician provides first-level technical support. This role is primarily onsite at the Columbia, SC repack warehouse, with remote support for Smyrna and occasional travel to Florence for plant support.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Tier 1 technical support for end users in a manufacturing and warehouse settingTroubleshoot hardware, software, printers, and basic application issuesPerform basic network connectivity troubleshooting, including switches and cablingAssist with and maintain physical network cabling within the warehouse and plant areasSupport workstations, scanners, and peripherals used in manufacturing and logistics operationsDocument issues and resolutions in the ticketing systemProvide remote support to the Smyrna locationTravel occasionally to the Florence plant to support onsite IT needsEscalate complex issues to higher-level IT support as neededRequired QualificationsA minimum of 2 years of IT Help Desk or Tier 1 Support experience (additional experience preferred)Basic IT troubleshooting and customer support skillsExposure to network connectivity troubleshootingHands-on experience with physical network cablingComfortable working in a warehouse or manufacturing environmentStrong communication and customer service skillsMust be local to the Columbia, SC area and able to work onsiteWork EnvironmentOnsite support in a battery manufacturing and repack warehouse environmentRemote support for additional facilitiesOccasional travel to plant locations
