We are looking to add a Help Desk Support Level 1 IT customer services oriented professional to our IT team. This is a full-time position, based in the Bridgeport area with responsibilities for mulitple sites.

The IT Help Desk Support - Level I provides first line response for users requiring assistance with information technology issues and problems. Duties include responding to requests for technical assistance by phone, email and/or using a helpdesk management system. This position will be responsible for providing IT support in multiple offices. Travel between the various locations is required. After Hours On-call rotation support on a rotation schedule.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide first line response for users requiring assistance with information technology issues and problems.
• Respond to requests for technical assistance by phone, email and/or using a helpdesk management system.
• Escalate more involved problems to the appropriate Level 2 and Level 3 support teams.
• Utilize general troubleshooting techniques and knowledge bases provided to diagnose and resolve end user issues.

Skills/ Technical Ability

• Knowledge and ability to configure, upgrade, support Windows clients (11) operating system software, Office M365 suite software applications, including Outlook and Outlook Web Access clients.
• Ability to use Remote Desktop Services such as TeamViewer.
• Proven ability to support and help train end users. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of desktop business applications, such as Microsoft Office 201X.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
• Working knowledge of firewalls and Virtual Private Networks and related security.
• Working knowledge of telecommunication equipment cellular phones, iPhone, and Android devices.
• Collaborate with Level 2 and 3 Support/Engineering group on server and network service-related issues as they arise.
• Maintain 15+ sites network infrastructure as well as related system security, integrity, and reliability.
• Perform other related duties as required.

EDUCATION:

• Associates degree or equivalent required in IT, Computer Science, or related field. (certifications are a plus)
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience in PC support
• General hands-on knowledge of end user software applications, such as Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows 11 Operating Systems
• Knowledge of Antivirus and IT Security programs
• Working knowledge of network technologies, relevant software, hardware, and other equipment.

EXPERIENCE: One to Three (3) years minimum technical experience in similar role. Excellent working knowledge of PC Laptop hardware builds. Excellent in-depth knowledge of Windows11, Office 365. Experience of desk side support. Good general networking skills.
