Overview
Client is seeking a customer-focused, collaborative, and technically strong Helpdesk Technician II to provide hands-on support for end users across the organization. This role is responsible for resolving hardware, software, access, and connectivity issues while following established procedures in a manufacturing environment.
The Helpdesk Technician II works closely with the Helpdesk team in Irvine, CA and the infrastructure team to deliver reliable, timely technical support for employees and business operations.
Core Responsibilities
• Provide onsite and remote support for end-user hardware, software, peripherals, mobile devices, and connectivity issues.
• Log, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve support tickets while meeting SLA targets and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Execute onboarding and offboarding activities, including account setup, device provisioning, and access changes.
• Image, deploy, and maintain more than 300 workstations using Intune.
• Support conference room technology, printers, and end-user devices on the manufacturing floor.
• Maintain accurate asset records for assigned, returned, and retired equipment.
• Contribute to knowledge base articles and user documentation.
• Educate users on cybersecurity best practices and report suspected security incidents.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
• 2+ years of Level 2 or Level 3 helpdesk or technical support experience.
• Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless troubleshooting.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Awareness of phishing, social engineering, and password security practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work onsite.
Preferred Skills or Experience
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft 365 certifications.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Work Details
• Part-time position with a maximum of 32 hours per week.
