IT Helpdesk Tech Support Specialist

Greensburg, PA (Onsite)

Schedule: Monday through Friday
 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, three days per week
 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, two days per week

Contract: 90-day assignment with extensions every 90 days

What You'll Do

As an IT Support Specialist, you'll provide onsite technical support to employees throughout the Greensburg facility, ensuring systems remain operational and users receive exceptional service.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide desktop and laptop support for end users
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, printer, scanner, and mobile device issues
  • Install and configure operating systems, software, print drivers, and utilities
  • Diagnose and resolve networking and connectivity issues
  • Support warehouse Android devices and network printers
  • Document work performed by creating and updating support tickets
  • Perform hardware replacements, imaging, and deployment of new equipment
  • Monitor systems, identify technical issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Assist with system maintenance, upgrades, and inventory management
  • Walk throughout office and warehouse environments to provide onsite support

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of IT support or desktop support experience
  • 3 to 5 years of customer service experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows desktops and laptops
  • Experience supporting printers, scanners, and peripheral devices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with desktop imaging and deployment tools
  • Knowledge of BIOS/UEFI, device drivers, and firmware updates
  • Experience supporting Android mobile devices
  • Familiarity with Remote Desktop, Microsoft Teams, or similar remote support tools
  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or other technical certifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite position supporting both office and warehouse operations. You'll assist users throughout the facility, including office workspaces, warehouse areas, and stock yards.

 

Safety Requirements:

  • Steel toe shoes required when entering warehouse areas
  • Safety vest provided for warehouse support activities

 

Training & Interview Process

  • Four weeks of hands-on training with an experienced team member
  • Video interview process followed by an onsite visit
  • Opportunity to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs
