Please provide a summary of the project/initiative that this candidate will be working on? The role provides ongoing operational support across Active Directory, endpoint security, virtualization, storage systems, and Citrix infrastructure, ensuring the environment remains secure, compliant, and stable. Responsibilities are continuous and operational in nature and cannot be fulfilled through temporary or project-based resourcing. In addition to steady-state operations, the role is essential for data center lifecycle activities, including decommissioning legacy infrastructure and supporting workload migrations, which require both technical expertise and local, hands-on execution.
Please describe the team the candidate will be working with - how many members? The team consists of three members including one manager and two I&O engineers.
What is the break-down of the team's skill sets (ex: 1 PM 4 Developers etc.)? The team includes one Infrastructure & Operations Manager, two Infrastructure Engineers focused on systems, Citrix, storage, and security operations, and this role providing dedicated security remediation and on-site infrastructure execution support.
What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)? Responsibilities include executing enterprise vulnerability remediation and patching across servers and endpoints, performing Active Directory administration and Tier 0/1 security hardening, supporting endpoint security tools and monitoring, administering and troubleshooting Citrix environments, supporting VMware and NetApp infrastructure, executing and documenting change management activities, providing on-site data center support for hardware validation and infrastructure troubleshooting, supporting data center decommissioning and asset removal activities, assisting with workload migration efforts including validation and testing, and providing on-site clinic support for issues requiring physical access.
What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background specific industry experience etc.)? The ideal candidate has a strong background in enterprise infrastructure and security engineering within regulated environments, experience supporting high-availability production systems, hands-on data center operations experience, and familiarity with audit, compliance, and structured change management processes.
What skills/attributes are required (please be detailed as to number of years of experience for each skill)? Required skills include 5-7+ years of infrastructure engineering experience, 3-5+ years of vulnerability remediation or security operations experience, 3-5+ years of Active Directory administration, 3+ years with endpoint security platforms, 3+ years of virtualization experience, 2-3+ years of storage platform experience, 2+ years of Citrix or VDI exposure, scripting experience with PowerShell or similar, and the ability to perform hands-on data center and on-site support.
What skills/attributes are preferred (what will set a candidate apart)? Preferred qualifications include experience with data center decommissioning and migration efforts, NetApp ONTAP expertise, exposure to privileged access management tools, experience with security analysis tools such as BloodHound, healthcare or regulated industry experience, backup platform experience, and strong documentation and audit evidence experience.
What will the interview process look like? (Video phone or in person? How many rounds? How technical will the interviews be?) The interview process will consist of 2 to 3 rounds including an initial video interview focused on experience and communication, followed by a technical interview covering Active Directory, security remediation, and infrastructure scenarios, with a possible final round for team fit and alignment; interviews will be moderately to highly technical and primarily conducted via video.
