We are hiring an IT Infrastructure Admin to start immediately for a full service consulting firm in Murrieta, CA.

  • This is a hybrid on site position, 3 days on site, 2 days remote
  • Salary is up to 85k/year on W2 (no C2C or 1099 or Sponsorship Or VISA transfer)
  • We are looking for someone who has 5+ years of extensive experience in Linux Administration, need to be familiar with DevOps, and must have experience with Docker (Caddy/Docker)
  • The majority of the position will be ensuring uptime/runtime (service monitoring). Acting as the escalation point to the Service Desk for on prem and cloud based needs; troubleshooting of server related issues, installs, security upgrades, support of web based applications.
  • Will also support new projects, new clients needs and integrations

IT Infrastructure Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on IT Infrastructure Administrator to support and maintain our customer-facing services, applications, servers, and network environments. This role is responsible for resolving escalated technical issues from the Service Desk and partnering with support, engineering, and end users to ensure reliable system performance.

The ideal candidate has experience across both on-prem and cloud environments and is passionate about continuously improving systems and expanding their technical expertise.


What You'll Do

Systems & Infrastructure

  • Administer and support Linux-based server environments (command line), including:
    • Red Hat / CentOS derivatives
    • Ubuntu
    • Amazon Linux
  • Automate routine system maintenance tasks using scripting and cron jobs

Containerization & Cloud Technologies

  • Manage and troubleshoot containerized environments, including:
    • Docker Swarm
    • Kubernetes
    • Portainer
  • Support deployments across both on-premises and cloud platforms

Networking & Security

  • Configure and manage network infrastructure:
    • VLANs and IP addressing
    • NAT (public/private routing)
    • Load balancers and Web Application Firewalls (WAFs)
  • Tune security policies to reduce false positives while maintaining strong protection

Web Hosting & DNS

  • Manage and troubleshoot DNS and public-facing service configurations:
    • Email authentication (DMARC, DKIM, SPF)
    • DNS records (A, CNAME, Alias)
    • Domain registrar and nameserver configuration
    • DNSSEC
  • Support hosting platforms such as cPanel, Windows IIS, and WordPress Multisite

Support & Operations

  • Serve as an escalation point within an ITIL-based service desk environment
  • Diagnose and resolve issues by effectively engaging with both technical and non-technical users
  • Monitor system health, uptime, and performance across infrastructure and applications
  • Provision and maintain physical and virtual systems and network components
  • Prioritize and manage support tickets and project work efficiently

Documentation & Compliance

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and runbooks
  • Support compliance initiatives (PCI, HIPAA), including audits and remediation activities
