We are seeking a hands-on Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure to lead and evolve a modern, enterprise-scale infrastructure environment. This is a highly visible player-coach role for a technical leader who enjoys guiding engineering teams while staying close to architecture, operations, and critical decision-making.

You will partner closely with IT leadership to drive infrastructure strategy, ensure operational excellence, and support key initiatives such as cloud transformation and organizational growth.

What You'll Do

Infrastructure Leadership & Execution

  • Lead and develop a team of infrastructure engineers across systems, networking, and cloud
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues
  • Translate strategic priorities into execution plans, standards, and measurable outcomes
  • Contribute to roadmap planning, budgeting, and workforce strategy

Cloud & Azure Environment

  • Lead execution and optimization of Microsoft Azure infrastructure (IaaS / PaaS)
  • Maintain governance, cost management, and resource lifecycle best practices
  • Support hybrid identity initiatives (Entra ID, M365 integration)

Systems & Virtualization

  • Oversee Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and identity integrations
  • Manage virtualization platforms (VMware and/or Hyper-V), including upgrades and capacity
  • Coordinate hardware lifecycle and manage data center or colocation vendors

Network & Connectivity

  • Provide leadership across routing, switching, firewalls, and WAN architecture
  • Support connectivity across distributed environments including VPN, LTE, and emerging technologies
  • Contribute to SD-WAN and network scalability efforts tied to growth

Storage, Backup & Disaster Recovery

  • Own storage platforms (SAN/NAS) and enterprise backup solutions
  • Ensure data integrity, retention policies, and offsite replication
  • Lead disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution aligned to RTO/RPO objectives

Governance, Reporting & Growth Initiatives

  • Support infrastructure integration and migration during acquisitions
  • Maintain documentation, reporting, and audit readiness
  • Contribute to compliance efforts (SOC 2, NIST, CIS)
  • Track and report infrastructure performance, uptime, and cloud spend

What You Bring

Required Experience

  • 8+ years in IT infrastructure with 3-5 years in leadership or senior technical roles
  • Deep, hands-on expertise across cloud, systems, and networking
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure beyond basic administration
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and hybrid environments
  • Enterprise networking expertise (routing, VLANs, firewalls, WAN)
  • Experience with virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V) and backup solutions
  • Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell)

Preferred

  • Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305)
  • Networking (CCNA/CCNP) or VMware (VCP) certifications
  • Experience with M&A or large-scale infrastructure transformations
  • Background in complex, distributed or field-based environments

Why Join

  • High-impact role with visibility across IT leadership
  • Opportunity to shape infrastructure strategy and modernization efforts
  • Collaborative, technically strong team environment
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits
  • Real career growth and leadership development
